Five Armenian wrestlers will compete on the second day of the 2026 European Championship in Tirana

April 21, Tirana — On the second competition day of the 2026 European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship, five representatives of the Armenian national team will take the mat.
In the 1/8 finals, Armenian wrestlers will compete in the following weight categories:
- 60 kg: Suren Agadzhanyan vs. Tommaso Bozzi (Italy)
- 67 kg: Slavik Galstyan vs. the winner of Andreas Vetsch (Switzerland) / Aker Schmid Al Obidi (Austria)
- 72 kg: Gaspar Terteryan vs. Henrik Dalen (Sweden)
- 82 kg: Samvel Grigoryan vs. Viktor Nemesh (Serbia)
- 97 kg: Aik Khloyan vs. Alex Szoke (Hungary)
Note that this is the senior-level debut for Suren Agadzhanyan and Gaspar Terteryan.
In the consolation bracket, the following wrestlers will compete:
- Karen Aslanyan (63 kg)
- Gevorg Tadevosyan (87 kg)
- Albert Vardanyan (130 kg)
- Manvel Khachatryan (55 kg) will immediately fight for the bronze medal.
The main event of the day will be the final match in the 77 kg category, where Malhas Amoyan will face Ramaz Zoidze from Georgia.
The competition starts at 12:30 Yerevan time, with finals at 21:00.
