On April 22, the 2026 European Greco-Roman Wrestling Championships for seniors concluded in Tirana, the capital of Albania. On the final day of the tournament, the winners and medalists were determined in five weight categories: 60, 67, 72, 82, and 97 kg.
According to the results of the competition, athletes from eight countries won gold medals, once again confirming the high level of competition in Greco-Roman wrestling in Europe, in contrast to freestyle wrestling.
Wrestlers from Russia and Azerbaijan each won two gold medals. One gold medal each was claimed by Armenia, Turkey, Bulgaria, France, Denmark, and Serbia.
The Armenian national team finished the tournament with five medals: 1 gold, 1 silver, and 3 bronze.
