“Krasnodar” regained the lead in the Russian Premier League, defeating “Spartak” thanks to a goal from Spertsyan

“Krasnodar” secured an important victory over “Spartak” (2–1) in the Matchday 26 game of the Russian Premier League and once again climbed to the top of the standings.

The scoring was opened in the 38th minute by Spartak midfielder Christopher Martins, who netted his fourth goal of the current season. However, before halftime, the visitors managed to equalize: in stoppage time of the first half, Krasnodar earned a penalty, which was confidently converted by team captain Eduard Spertsyan (45+1).

The decisive moment came in the 85th minute, when defender Jubal brought victory to Krasnodar by scoring his second goal of the season. Following the match, Jubal was named Man of the Match by a Match Premier TV expert.

For Krasnodar, this victory mirrored the result of the teams’ first meeting earlier this season — in Matchday 14, the “Bulls” also won 2–1.

After 26 rounds, Krasnodar has 57 points and reclaimed the top spot, leading Zenit by one point, as Zenit drew with Lokomotiv in this round. Spartak, with 45 points, sits in fifth place.

Eduard Spertsyan’s performance also deserves special mention: the Armenia national team captain played 74 minutes and received a 7.0 rating from SofaScore. In addition to converting the penalty, he delivered one key pass, demonstrated high passing accuracy (23 out of 24), and lost possession only five times.
