Fifth Day of the 2026 European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi

On April 23 in Batumi (Georgia), the fifth day of the 2026 European Weightlifting Championships took place. Medals were contested in two weight categories: up to 88 kg for men and up to 77 kg for women.
After five days of competition, Turkey leads the medal standings in terms of major medals.
On this day, Armenian weightlifters won only one minor gold, but Andranik Karapetyan—who has been representing Bosnia and Herzegovina since 2025—secured a major bronze medal.

Fourth Day of the 2026 European Weightlifting Championships in Batumi
Program for April 24
On the sixth day of the championships, medals will be contested in the men’s 94 kg category and the women’s 86 kg category. Representing Armenia will be Ara Aganyan (94 kg), Emma Poghosyan (86 kg), and Liana Gyurjyan (86 kg).
