On November 5, Armenian shooter Elmira Karapetyan finished 23rd in the women's 10m air pistol qualification at the 2026 ISSF World Championships in Doha, Qatar.
The Armenian athlete scored 574 points across six series but failed to secure a place among the top eight competitors who advanced to the final.
The qualification cutoff was 580 points, leaving Karapetyan six points short of reaching the final.
As a result, the Armenian shooter also missed the opportunity to compete for one of the three qualification quota places available for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games in this event.
Earlier, on November 3, Elmira Karapetyan won a silver medal at the World Championships in the women's 50m pistol event. However, that discipline is not part of the Olympic programme.
The ISSF World Championships in Doha are taking place from November 1 to 14 and serve as one of the qualification events for the 2028 Olympic Games.
