2026 Winter Olympics: Day Two Results (February 8)

On February 8, the second competition day of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games concluded in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo. A total of eight sets of medals were awarded, and after the first two days of competition, athletes have already claimed 13 gold medals.
On Sunday, medals were contested in alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, biathlon, snowboarding (two events), speed skating, luge, and figure skating.
A special highlight was the success of 40-year-old Austrian Benjamin Karl, who became a two-time Olympic champion after winning gold in the men’s parallel giant slalom snowboarding event.
After the second day of competition, Norway leads the medal table with three gold medals. Italy has won the most total medals — nine (one gold, two silver, and six bronze).
