Winter Olympics 2026: Results of Day Eight (February 14)

On February 14, the eighth competition day of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo came to an end.
A total of 8 medal events were contested. After eight days of competition, athletes have already claimed 59 of the 116 available gold medal sets.
The hero of the day was alpine skier Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, who secured the first-ever medal in history not only for Brazil but for all of South America at the Winter Olympic Games. Braathen won the giant slalom, finishing ahead of world ranking leader Marco Odermatt.
Norway won two gold medals and strengthened its lead in the medal standings. One gold medal each was won by Brazil, the Netherlands, the United States, Austria, Australia and Slovenia.
