On February 13, the seventh day of competition concluded at the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
Seven sets of medals were awarded during the day, and after seven days of competition, athletes have already distributed 51 gold medal sets.
The biggest surprise came in men’s figure skating. Pre-event favorite Ilia Malinin (USA) was leading after the short program but dropped to eighth place following the free skate. The Olympic champion became 21-year-old Mikhail Shaidorov (Kazakhstan), the silver medalist of the 2025 World Championships. Another favorite, Adam Siao Him Fa (France), was second after the short program but ultimately finished sixth. The silver and bronze medals were won by representatives of Japan.
In other disciplines, one gold medal each was claimed by Norway, Australia, France, the Czech Republic, Japan, and Great Britain.
Italy and the United States failed to win gold on this day, allowing Norway to further strengthen its lead in the medal standings.
