On February 16, at the Winter Olympics 2026 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, the tenth competition day came to an end.
Six sets of medals were awarded during the day. After ten days of competition, athletes have now claimed 74 out of 116 available gold medal sets.
Gold medals on the day were won by athletes representing the Netherlands, Canada, the United States, Switzerland, Austria, and Japan.
In the overall medal standings, Norway continues to lead, staying four gold medals ahead of Italy.
The most dramatic moment of the day came in alpine skiing, where Norway narrowly missed out on another gold. Atle Lie McGrath led after the first run in the men’s slalom and was confidently heading toward Olympic gold, but in the second run he went off course and failed to finish.
