On February 10, the fourth competition day of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo came to an end. A total of nine sets of medals were awarded, and after four days of competition, athletes have already shared 27 gold medals.
Norway claimed three gold medals on the day and strengthened its lead in the medal standings, bringing its total number of victories to six. Italy once again pleasantly surprised fans by sensationally winning the mixed team relay in short track speed skating. The race ended dramatically: China led for most of the distance, but a late mistake left the team without a medal.
In the women’s classic sprint in cross-country skiing, Sweden swept the podium — Linn Svahn took gold, Jonna Sundling finished second, and Maja Dahlqvist claimed bronze.
The biggest surprise of the day came in the women’s team combined alpine skiing event: American stars Mikaela Shiffrin and Breezy Johnson finished outside the podium, while the Austrian duo Ariane Rädler and Katharina Huber won the gold medal.
In the mixed doubles curling final, Sweden captured gold, with brother and sister Rasmus and Isabella Wranå. This achievement marked the first Olympic gold in history for a sibling duo in the mixed doubles event.
