An Israeli refereeing team has been appointed for the UEFA Europa Conference League Round of 32 match between Armenian side Noah and Dutch club AZ Alkmaar. The game will take place in Yerevan on February 19 and will kick off at 21:45 local time.
Orel Grinfeld has been appointed as the main referee.
He will be assisted by:
Assistant referees — Roy Hassan and Idan Yarkoni;
VAR referee — Daniel Bar Natan;
Assistant VAR — Eitan Shmuelevitz;
Fourth official — Gal Leibovitz.
The entire refereeing team represents Israel.
Edi Kindl (Liechtenstein) has been appointed as the UEFA delegate,
while Levan Peniashvili (Georgia) will serve as the referee observer.
This season, Grinfeld has officiated three Europa League matches, although most of his work has been in the Israeli domestic league. Overall, he has refereed 18 matches this season, awarding 9 penalties and showing 4 red cards. Notably, all of these decisions were made in domestic competitions.
Particularly notable was the Israeli league match between Ironi Tiberias and Maccabi Tel Aviv (1:4), where the referee awarded three penalties.
Statistics indicate that the upcoming match in Yerevan will be handled by a strict and proactive referee who is not hesitant to make decisive calls.
