Armenia Women’s National Team Begins 2027 World Cup Qualifiers with Defeat

The Armenia women’s national football team began its 2027 World Cup qualifying campaign with a loss. In the first round match, the Armenian side was defeated away by Kazakhstan 0–3.

The scoring was opened in the 35th minute by Burova. In the second half, the hosts extended their lead: Mamirova scored in the 76th minute, and three minutes later, in the 79th, Nurusheva added another goal.

As a result, Armenia failed to collect points in the opening round of the qualification campaign.

The Armenian team will play its next match on April 14 at home against Belarus.
