Yerevan’s Pyunik secured a convincing 3–0 victory over Shirak in the Armenian Premier League. The standout performer of the match was Guinean forward Momo Yansane, who scored a brace and delivered an assist in his first league appearance.
Yansane joined Pyunik this winter from Cypriot club Omonia Aradippou, and in his debut match he immediately began to justify expectations, directly contributing to all three goals scored by his team.
Pyunik captain and veteran Edgar Malakyan also had a productive game, recording one goal and one assist.
Thanks to this victory, Pyunik climbed to second place in the league table with 32 points. The Yerevan club also leads Ararat-Armenia in terms of points lost, having one game in hand.
