All Armenian Premier League Matches on February 27 Postponed Due to Snowfall

Today, February 27, the Armenian Premier League was set to resume after the winter break with two Matchday 16 fixtures. However, due to heavy snowfall, both scheduled matches have been postponed.

The affected games are Ararat vs. Alashkert and Urartu vs. Van. Adverse weather conditions and the inability to properly prepare the pitches led to the postponement.

The clubs have already released official statements.

Urartu stated:
“We inform you that due to adverse weather conditions, the Fastex Premier League Matchday 16 game between Urartu and Van has been postponed. The new date of the rescheduled match will be announced additionally.”

The Ararat vs. Alashkert match will also not take place as planned. The statement reads:
“The Ararat vs. Alashkert match has been postponed due to weather conditions.”

Thus, all of today’s Armenian championship football matches have been cancelled due to snowfall. New dates will be announced later.

Tomorrow’s matches, scheduled for February 28, are also likely to be postponed:
Shirak vs. BKMA
Ararat-Armenia vs. Pyunik
