Armenian freestyle wrestler Vazgen Tevanyan (65 kg weight category) continues his confident run in the PWL India league, securing his fourth win of the tournament.
This time, Tevanyan faced India’s Anuj Kumar. The bout was completely controlled by the Armenian wrestler and ended with his dominant 12:0 victory.
Tevanyan’s success made an important contribution to the overall result of the Maharashtra Kesari team, which edged out Punjab Royals 5:4 in a tense showdown. After this match, Maharashtra Kesari moved into sole first place in the league standings.
Earlier in the tournament, Tevanyan also earned notable victories over Azerbaijani wrestler Ali Rahimzade, two-time World Championships medalist from Mongolia Tumur Tulga Ochir, and India’s Vishal Kaliraman. The Armenian athlete is demonstrating consistent and effective wrestling, confirming his status as one of the leaders in his weight category.
