From February 12 to 15, Yerevan will host the Armenian Weightlifting Championship 2026. The competition will be held at the Sports Management Center, located at 41 Manandyan Street.
The tournament will be one of the key events on the national calendar and will bring together the country’s strongest weightlifters. It should be recalled that in 2025, after a long break, the Armenian Championship was revived, and its results played an important role in forming the national team for the season.
Holding the national championship again in 2026 confirms the Armenian Weightlifting Federation’s commitment to strengthening domestic competition, creating additional incentives for athlete development, and increasing interest in the sport among fans and experts alike.
In addition, a video published by the Armenian Weightlifting Federation revealed that all of the country’s top weightlifters will take part in the championship. Simon Martirosyan, Garik Karapetyan, Varazdat Lalayan, Gor Sahakyan, as well as Alexandra Grigoryan, will step onto the platform.
