Yerevan Unveils Details of the European Shooting Championship

Ahead of the start of the European Shooting Championship in Yerevan, organizers have revealed key organizational details, the list of participants, and the competition schedule. The tournament will take place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex, where preparation of the competition arenas and training zones has already been completed.
The first technical specialists from the European Shooting Confederation will arrive in the Armenian capital on February 24. The majority of national teams will begin arriving from February 26. The official opening ceremony will be held on February 27 at 19:00.
According to representatives of the Shooting Federation of Armenia, the complex has been fully adapted to international standards, featuring modern shooting ranges, finals zones, training areas, and facilities for judges and media operations.
Where the Armenian Team Will Compete
The Armenian national team will compete in several disciplines:

10m Running Target (slow run, fast run, mixed run),

10m Air Rifle (individual, mixed, trio, solo),

10m Air Pistol (individual, mixed, trio, solo).
In several disciplines, the host nation aims to reach the final stages.
Key Competition Days
February 28
Start of the 10m Running Target (slow run) competitions for men, women, and youth.
March 1
10m Running Target (fast run), Air Rifle mixed finals, and individual Air Pistol events for men and women.
March 2
Air Rifle competitions (men and women), Air Pistol mixed event, and mixed team Running Target events.
March 3
Air Rifle team (trio) competitions, Air Pistol solo events, and Running Target mixed run discipline.
March 4
Air Rifle solo competitions and Air Pistol team (trio) events.
Most finals will take place in the afternoon, with organizers expecting strong spectator attendance during the decisive stages of the tournament.
Expectations and Significance
Organizers emphasize that this championship will become one of the largest shooting tournaments ever held in Armenia. For the national team, it is an opportunity to compete on home soil and demonstrate progress in the face of strong international competition.
Special attention is also being paid to the development of the sport in the country. The tournament is expected to attract a new audience and provide additional momentum for youth sports schools and regional training centers.
