Urartu snatched victory from Pyunik in added time

In the 5th round match of the Armenian Premier League, Urartu defeated Pyunik 2-1. The decisive goal was scored by Artemii Gunkyo in the 90+2nd minute, as he was the first to reach the rebound after Narek Agasaryan’s shot.

Earlier, Oleg Polyakov had scored for Urartu, while Javier Moreno netted the only goal for Pyunik with an assist from Vakulenko.

The game also featured players called up to the Armenian national team for the September 2026 World Cup qualifiers. For Pyunik, midfielder Daniel Agbalan and goalkeeper Henri Avagyan played the full match, while for Urartu, defender Erik Piloyan and midfielder Narek Agasaryan spent all 90 minutes on the pitch.

We remind you that the Armenian national team will face Portugal on September 6 and Ireland on September 9.
