Urartu to Play Against the Uzbekistan National Team at UAE Training Camp

Armenian football club Urartu has announced the schedule of friendly matches for its training camp in the United Arab Emirates, where Robert Arzumanyan’s team is preparing for the spring part of the season.

The main event of the camp will be a match against the Uzbekistan national team, which has qualified for the FIFA World Cup for the first time in its history. It is still unclear whether Uzbekistan will field their main squad against the Armenian side or only players from the domestic league.

In total, Urartu will play five friendlies.

February 4 — Qingdao (China)
February 8 — Zhejiang (China)
February 12 — Elimai (Kazakhstan)
February 12 — United Sport (UAE)

These friendlies will be an important part of Urartu’s preparations for the second half of the Armenian Premier League season, where the team is fighting for the title and sits in 3rd place after 15 rounds.

It is worth noting that other Armenian clubs, Pyunik and Noah, are also holding training camps in the UAE during the same period.
