PWL 11 Tournament in Tashkent: Full Results, Highlight Wins, and Major Showdowns

On March 27, Tashkent hosted another event of the Professional Wrestling League — PWL 11, bringing together top athletes from around the world in freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling.

One of the notable moments of the evening was the performance of Armenian wrestler Levik Mikaelyan. The young Armenian athlete, a two-time U23 European champion, lost to a decorated opponent — three-time world champion and Olympic champion Zaur Uguev. The bout ended in a confident 11:0 victory for the Russian wrestler. Notably, Uguev celebrated his 32nd birthday on that day.

The most spectacular match of the tournament took place in the 82 kg Greco-Roman category. Kyrgyzstan’s star Akzhol Makhmudov delivered a dominant performance, defeating Japan’s Olympic champion Nao Kusaka with a score of 19:6.

Another highly anticipated clash occurred in the 74 kg freestyle division, where world champion Kota Takahashi lost to Olympic champion Zaurbek Sidakov — 1:4.
