Armenian champions FC Noah have reached an agreement to sign 27-year-old Romanian winger Valentin Costache from UTA Arad. The player has already played his final match in the Romanian league and will soon join his new team in Yerevan.
In his farewell match, Costache converted a 90th-minute penalty in a victory over Botoșani, putting a perfect finishing touch on his spell in Arad. He finished the season with 11 goals and 4 assists, becoming one of the team’s key players. The previous campaign was also successful, as he recorded 9 goals and 3 assists in 29 matches.
After the game, the Romanian winger confirmed the agreement between the clubs and spoke emotionally:
“Yes, it was my last match. The clubs have reached an agreement. I have a flight from Budapest at 6:00 a.m. tomorrow. It’s a very emotional moment…
Noah didn’t want me to continue playing for UTA, but I decided to step onto the pitch. I spoke with the coach and wanted to finish my job properly.
I prayed to God that everything would end exactly like today. I gave everything for these fans. I’m happy and I wish the team good luck.
Honestly, I never doubted for a second that I would score the penalty. I only thought about everything ending well so we could celebrate together.
My time in Arad was special — with ups and downs, like in any footballer’s life. I’m grateful to the fans, coaches and teammates. Without them, I wouldn’t have this offer or these achievements. My heart and thoughts are with them.” (golazo.ro)

According to Transfermarkt, Costache’s market value is around €1 million. He joined UTA in the summer of 2024 as a free agent from Cypriot side Apollon.
Valentin Costache is expected to be a major reinforcement for Noah in the remainder of the season and will strengthen the squad ahead of their UEFA Conference League Round of 32 clash against AZ Alkmaar.
