Armenian Premier League Round 7 Kicks Off: Van’s Victory and Urartu’s Thrashing

The 7th round of the Fastex Premier League began with spectacular matches full of goals. Two games were played on Friday, September 19.
In Charentsavan, local side Van earned a hard-fought 3–2 win over Gyumri’s Shirak. The hosts took the lead in the 13th minute thanks to Artur Danielyan’s strike, assisted by newcomer David Kirakosyan from Sochi. However, Shirak quickly responded: before halftime, Mher Tarlyan and Rafik Misakyan (from the penalty spot) put the visitors ahead. After the break, Van turned the game around with goals from Saba Sidamonidze and Eriki Daniel, securing three points. With this victory, Van climbed to 5th place with 8 points, while Shirak remain in 9th with 5 points.
Even more impressive was the match in Yerevan, where Robert Arzumanyan’s Urartu left no chance to Ararat, thrashing them 6–0. The star of the night was Brazilian forward Bruno Michel, who scored four goals. Artemi Gunko and Nicholas Kaloukian also added one each. Thanks to this win, Urartu became the sole leader of the championship with 13 points, while Ararat sit bottom with just one point.
With his four-goal haul, Bruno Michel now leads the scoring chart with 7 goals in 7 matches.
