Arman Tsarukyan’s April Fools’ prank неожиданно turned into one of the most talked-about stories in the MMA world. A humorous fight announcement against Ilia Topuria, posted on the fighter’s Instagram page, has already surpassed the official UFC post in key metrics.

Importantly, this was not just an ordinary promotional post. The UFC had unveiled a highly anticipated announcement of a major tournament at the White House, featuring a full fight card of 6–7 bouts. The post was published in collaboration with several major media platforms, including Paramount, which was expected to significantly boost its reach.

However, even under such conditions, Tsarukyan’s post confidently pulled ahead. It generated twice as many shares and also outperformed the official announcement in likes and comments.

Even more telling is the pace: while the UFC post took nearly a month to reach similar numbers, Tsarukyan’s publication achieved this in just 24 hours.

This case clearly demonstrates the level of audience interest in a potential Tsarukyan vs Topuria fight. After such figures, claims that this bout “lacks hype” are becoming increasingly unconvincing.
