On March 28, the Hype FC fight night took place in Yerevan. In the main event, Yerkebulan Toktar (11–3, Kazakhstan) faced Marcel Nurlanbek uulu (14–0, Kyrgyzstan).
The headline bout was held under boxing rules using MMA gloves. Toktar was considered the clear favorite, but Nurlanbek uulu surprised with his striking skills and secured a convincing unanimous decision victory, winning all three rounds.
Before the fight, Toktar was expected to have a significant boxing advantage, as Nurlanbek uulu is primarily known as a wrestler and not for his striking. However, the Kyrgyz fighter showed excellent preparation and delivered a high-level boxing performance.
Additionally, Armenian MMA fighter David Khachatryan earned two victories over Kazakhstan’s Serik Sarmukhamed during the event. First, Khachatryan won under MMA rules, and then he also came out on top in a boxing bout with MMA gloves.
Renowned Armenian wrestler Arsen Harutyunyan also competed at the event, defeating Kazakhstan’s MMA fighter Bagdat Zhubanysh in a freestyle wrestling match.
