Armenian National Team Wins Gold at the European Shooting Championship in Yerevan

The Armenian men’s national team became the champion of the 2026 European Shooting Championship held in Yerevan. The tournament is taking place at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex.

In the team event of the 10m running target discipline, the Armenian men’s team — Hovhannes Margaryan, Hayk Minasyan, and Gor Khachatryan — secured first place, surpassing the teams of Sweden and Finland.

In the same discipline, Armenia’s women’s team — Goar Harutyunyan, Lilit Mkrtchyan, and Arusyak Grigoryan — won silver medals. The Armenian athletes finished behind Ukraine and ahead of Germany.

On March 3, Goar Harutyunyan also claimed a silver medal in the individual women’s running target event.

In the junior individual competition, Lilit Mkrtchyan won gold with 366 points. Yana Hakobyan finished second with 362 points. This marks Lilit’s second gold medal at the tournament.

At the conclusion of the home European Championship, Armenia secured a total of 10 medals — 4 gold, 5 silver, and 1 bronze.
