In January 2026, the Armenian national futsal team will play in the final stage of the European Championship for the first time in history. The tournament will take place from January 21 to February 7 in Latvia, Lithuania, and Slovenia.
Ahead of this historic event, Sportaran takes a look at how the Armenian national team players are performing in their foreign clubs.
Russian Super League
Vladimir Sanosyan (Norilsk Nickel)
The captain of the Armenian national team continues to perform steadily for one of the league leaders. In Matchday 12, his team confidently defeated Fakel-GTS 5–1. For Sanosyan, that was his 10th match of the season, in which he has scored twice.
Later, in Matchdays 15–16 against Tyumen, the versatile Armenian once again stood out. His team lost the first match in a penalty shootout — 5–5 (3–4 on pens) — but won the second by a resounding 6–0. Sanosyan scored a goal and provided an assist. After 16 rounds, Norilsk Nickel sits 5th with 31 points, while Sanosyan’s personal record stands at 3 goals and 1 assist.

Denis Nevedrov (Tyumen)
The Armenian national team’s forward continues to produce strong performances for Tyumen. In Matchdays 13–14, his team beat Fakel-GTS twice — 5–2 and 2–1. In the second match, Denis found the net, bringing his total to 7 goals and 2 assists in 14 matches.
Against Norilsk Nickel, Nevedrov added two more assists. After 16 rounds, Tyumen ranks 6th with 28 points, while Denis’s total stands at 7 goals and 4 assists.
Mikael Ggandilyan (IrAero)
The experienced Armenian utility player took part in two tough home matches against Ekaterinburg’s VIZ-Sinara. In the first game, IrAero lost 1–2, with Gandilyan nearly putting his team ahead but hitting the post. In the second match, his club went down to ten men in the 7th minute and suffered a heavy 2–8 defeat. After 16 rounds, IrAero occupies 11th place in the standings.
Russian Higher League (Second Tier)
Arseny Petrosyan (Novaya Generatsiya-2)
The young Armenian national team forward made a bright start to the season. In the first round, his team beat Tyumen-D on penalties — 2–2 (3–1 on pens), with Arseny scoring in the very first minute. In the second round, Novaya Generatsiya-2 claimed another victory — 3–2 over Fakel-YUKIOR. Petrosyan was sent off and will miss the next match. After two rounds, Novaya Generatsiya-2 ranks 4th with 5 points.
Arsen Petrosov (Torpedo-2)
Another promising Armenian forward, 19-year-old Arsen Petrosov, is also in fine form. In Matchday 4, he scored twice against Ukhta-2 (4–4, 3–0 on pens). He now has 3 goals in 4 league matches. Petrosov also scored twice in friendlies against Spain during the team’s Euro 2026 preparations. In Matchday 5, his team lost to Metallurg 1–4. After five rounds, Torpedo-2 sits 9th with 4 points.
Albert Agadzhanov and Nikita Khromykh (TZMS, Tula)
The Armenian national team goalkeeper Albert Agadzhanov helped TZMS defeat Fakel from Novy Urengoy (3–1), putting in a solid performance with several key saves. Agadzhanov has played three matches this season, missing others due to national team duty.
Another Armenian national team player, Nikita Khromykh, is still recovering from injury. After five rounds, TZMS confidently tops the Higher League table with 12 points and is among the main contenders for promotion to the Super League.
Artur Stepanyan (Fakel-YUKIOR)
The 18-year-old forward, not yet called up to the Armenian national team, is showing impressive form. He scored in the first round of the Higher League and found the net again in the second match against Novaya Generatsiya-2, before being sent off. Last season, Artur was one of the top scorers in the Russian youth championship. The national team coaching staff should definitely keep an eye on him.
Belarusian Championship
Migran Dermendzhyan (Merkury-GTK)
The Armenian national team forward continues to contribute steadily for his club on the international stage. In Matchday 4, he scored in a 4–1 win over FSK Lida — his second goal in four matches. In Matchday 6, Merkury-GTK earned a dramatic 5–4 comeback victory over Minsk, after trailing 3–4 with just a minute left! Dermendzhyan started the match and played strongly throughout. After six rounds, the team sits 6th in the standings.
