Armenia’s wrestling team defeats Estonia in a dual meet

On February 6, a Greco-Roman wrestling dual meet between Armenia and Estonia took place in Tallinn as part of the Kristjan Palusalu Tournament. The match ended in a confident 6:1 victory for the Armenian national team.
The Armenian squad was composed mainly of young wrestlers, who claimed victories in the majority of weight categories. The only loss came in the 97 kg division, where Ruben Gevorgyan, competing in a heavier weight class compared to his usual 87 kg category, was defeated by experienced opponent Richard Karelson, a bronze medalist at the U23 World Championships.
The main tournament will start on February 7. The competition day begins at 1:00 PM Yerevan time.
