The Armenian national boxing team will take part in the first stage of the 2026 World Cup, which will be held from April 20 to 26 in Iguazu, Brazil.
The tournament will open a three-stage series organized by World Boxing. The second stage will take place in June in China, after which the top eight boxers in each weight category will advance to the final stage scheduled for November in Tashkent.
Based on the results of all three stages, a ranking of athletes will be formed under the auspices of World Boxing. This ranking is expected to play an important role in the qualification process for the 2026 Olympic Games.
The World Cup series has been held since 2025, but at that time Armenia was not yet a member of World Boxing. This season, the Armenian team will participate in the tournament for the first time.
Currently, Armenia’s national team boxers are holding a training camp in Tsaghkadzor as they prepare for upcoming international competitions.
