Armenia National Team Announces Roster for EuroBasket 2029 Pre-Qualifiers Game Against Bulgaria

The coaching staff of the Armenia national basketball team has announced the extended roster for the EuroBasket 2029 pre-qualification match against Bulgaria. The game will take place on March 2 in Yerevan at the Mika Sports Complex.
Led by Serbian head coach Bogdan Karacic, the national team has begun preparations for this crucial matchup, which will be played with strong home support.

The team’s naturalized player will be point guard Darius McGhee, who plays for French top-division club Bourges. The assistant coach is Greek specialist Kostas Papavasileiou.
Team captain Andre Spight-Mkrtchyan and Artyom Tavakalyan will miss the upcoming match due to injuries.
In the first meeting, Armenia lost away to Bulgaria (88:98). At that time, the naturalized player was Christian Vital from the Italian league, who scored 27 points.
The national team will begin its training camp on February 26. The game against Bulgaria is expected to be decisive in the race to advance to the next stage of the EuroBasket 2029 qualifiers.
