Sani Buhari to Continue His Career in Spain After Pyunik

22-year-old Nigerian midfielder Sani Buhari has signed a contract with Spanish side Real Valladolid after his deal with Yerevan’s Pyunik expired. The footballer will play for the club’s reserve team.
Buhari has been playing in the Armenian Premier League since 2022, where he also made his senior debut. The Nigerian first represented Van before moving to Pyunik. During this period, he played 73 matches in the Armenian league, scoring 8 goals and providing 4 assists.
In addition, the midfielder played one match for Pyunik in the UEFA Conference League. In that game, Buhari scored the winning goal against Slovenian side Celje (1–0).
The reserve team of Valladolid, which Buhari will now represent, plays in the fourth tier of Spanish football, while the club’s main team competes in the country’s second division.
