Roman Avakian made his debut for Mexico U16 at a tournament in France

Footballer of the German club Mainz U16, Roman Avakian Gomez, played his first match for the Mexico U16 youth national team. The debut took place at the international friendly tournament Torneo de Montaigu, which is being held in France.
In the opening match of the tournament, the Mexican team lost to their Portugal U16 peers with a score of 0:1. Avakian Gomez started the game on the bench and came on in the second half.
Ahead of the Mexico U16 team are matches against Peru U16 and China U16 in the group stage.
Previously, Roman Avakian Gomez played for the Armenia U15 youth national team. Currently, he is a player of Germany’s Mainz U16 and accepted an invitation from the Mexican side to participate in the prestigious international tournament.
