Football club Rodina have decided not to allow their striker Artur Garibyan to go on trial with Kaliningrad-based Baltika. This was reported by journalist Sergey Ilyev.
Baltika head coach Andrey Talalaev was interestedin inviting Garibyan to the club’s winter training camp, after which a decision on a potential signing was expected. However, the Moscow club chose to keep the player under the current circumstances.
This decision appears logical and deserves a positive assessment. Rodina have established themselves as a well-structured project that pays close attention to the development and interests of their young players. At this stage, moving the player during the winter break does not seem particularly necessary.
Artur Garibyan is enjoying a confident season on loan at Spartak Kostroma, where he has already recorded 5 goals and 2 assists. In addition, the striker is regularly called up to the Armenia U21 national team, which confirms his progress and high level of performance.
As for Baltika, the Kaliningrad club are having a successful season in the Russian Premier League, sitting 5th after 18 rounds. Garibyan will still have opportunities to prove himself and eventually reach Premier League level.
