The grappling rematch between Arman Tsarukyan and Giorgio Poullas, which was scheduled to take place on March 11 at the Hype Brazil event in Rio de Janeiro, will not happen.
Pullas himself announced the cancellation during a stream with well-known journalist Ariel Helwani. According to the fighter, he decided to withdraw from the bout at the request of RAF league head Chad Bronstein.
The RAF president plans to organize the Tsarukyan vs Pullas rematch under his own promotion, which is why the bout at Hype Brazil has been canceled. Tsarukyan is now expected to face a new opponent at the Hype Brazil event.

On March 1, Arman Tsarukyan and Giorgio Poullas already met at the RAF 06 event in Arizona. The athletes competed under freestyle wrestling rules, with Tsarukyan securing the victory.
After the final whistle, the situation escalated dramatically: Tsarukyan struck his opponent, leading to a mass scuffle and causing significant reaction within the combat sports community.
It was after this incident that the sides agreed to hold a rematch — this time under grappling rules in a Submission Only format.
Originally, the rematch was expected to headline the Hype Fighting Brazil event on March 11 in Rio de Janeiro. However, it is now anticipated that the fighters’ second meeting will take place under the RAF promotion.
At the moment, the new date and location for the rematch have not been officially announced.
Tsarukyan himself previously stated that he does not want the rematch under freestyle wrestling rules, as he believes their match would once again fail to happen.
