Pyunik Beat Alashkert to Take the Lead in the Championship

Pyunik secured a crucial victory over Alashkert in the 18th round of the Armenian Premier League. The match ended with a narrow 1–0 win for the Yerevan side.

The only goal of the match was scored by Guinean striker Momo Yansane. The forward, who joined Pyunik this winter, continues to impress at his new club, already recording three goals and one assist in two matches.

Thanks to this victory, Pyunik moved to the top of the league table, one point ahead of Ararat-Armenia. Alashkert, with 32 points, currently sits in third place.

The two teams will meet again in the next round. Another win in the head-to-head clash could significantly strengthen Artak Oseyan’s team’s position and make Pyunik the main contender for the championship title.
