In the second round of the Armenian Premier League, Pyunik failed to beat Shirak away. The match in Gyumri ended goalless — 0-0.
Right after the match, the club announced the appointment of a new head coach. The team was once again taken over by 38-year-old Artak Oseyan, who had previously worked with Pyunik before the arrival of Yeghishe Melikyan, and has now replaced him in the role.
Before that, Oseyan was the assistant coach to Vardan Minasyan at Ararat-Armenia and Georgia’s Telavi.
It should be reminded that Yeghishe Melikyan left Pyunik before the game against Shirak to take charge of the Armenian national team.
