American freestyle wrestler and Olympic medalist Aaron Brooks will be suspended from competition for three years. According to unconfirmed reports, American freestyle wrestler and Olympic medalist Aaron Brooks may be suspended from competition for three years. Sources report that traces of a banned substance were found in his sample. There had already been suspicions of doping before the Olympic Games, but he was then cleared to compete in Paris.
The 25-year-old Brooks represents the "Nittany Lions" club at Pennsylvania State University. Four other freestyle wrestlers from this club will also compete in Paris: Zain Retherford (65 kg), Kyle Dake (74 kg), Kyle Snyder (97 kg), and, as part of the Mexican team, Roman Bravo-Young (65 kg).
Aaron is a bronze medalist from the Paris Olympics and a U23 World Champion.
