Hovhannes Margaryan sets world record and brings gold to Armenia at the European Shooting Championship

Armenian shooter Hovhannes Margaryan won the gold medal at the European Moving Target Shooting Championship, held in Châteauroux, France. The athlete scored 591 points, setting a new world record and becoming the continental champion.
Armenia’s women’s team representative Lilit Mkrtchyan also achieved success. She scored 572 points and took third place, winning the bronze medal of the tournament.
It should be reminded that earlier at the same European Championship, Armenia’s men’s and women’s teams had already distinguished themselves by winning gold and silver respectively.
Thus, the performance of the Armenian team in Châteauroux continues to be extremely successful, strengthening the country's position in European shooting.
