"Pyunik" striker Yusuf Otubanjo will continue his career at the Uzbek club "Nasaf". The 32-year-old Nigerian forward signed a 1.5-year contract with the champions of Uzbekistan.
Otubanjo spent six years in Armenia, playing for "Ararat-Armenia" and "Pyunik". During this time, he played 144 matches in the Armenian Premier League and scored 79 goals, becoming one of the most prolific foreign players in the history of the tournament.
Saying goodbye to Armenia, Yusuf addressed the fans:
"Hello everyone! I know you have many questions that need to be answered, but right now I want to say a huge thank you to this wonderful country Armenia, especially for the experience and memories I gained here. I am truly grateful for everything. Thank you Ararat-Armenia for the humble beginning and for the place that became home for me. Pyunik, I can’t put everything into words… A wise man once told me that when the right time comes, you will feel it and do what will be best."
In Armenia, Otubanjo was also remembered for showing a T-shirt with the inscription "Stand with Armenia" after scoring a goal in one of the Conference League matches — during the Artsakh war.

"Nasaf" noted that they are counting on Otubanjo's experience and hope that he will help the team achieve new victories and win trophies.
