The United Arab Emirates national team has decided to cancel the scheduled friendly match against Armenia, considering the current tense and military situation in the Middle East.
Thus, in March, the Armenian national team will play only one friendly match — on March 29 against Belarus in Yerevan. Ticket sales for the game will start on March 19.
The UAE – Armenia match was originally scheduled for March 26 in Abu Dhabi.
Earlier, Armenia’s head coach, Egishe Melikyan, noted that it was extremely important to play two matches to evaluate all invited players. Now the team will face a choice: focus on the main lineup or give opportunities to new players.
In the current situation, it is expected that all potential debutants of the Armenian national team will go to the U21 youth team, which has two official matches scheduled against Poland (March 27) and a derby against North Macedonia (March 31).
