OFFICIAL: Joseph Sabobo Banda joins Alashkert

20-year-old Zambian national team left winger Joseph Sabobo Banda has officially become a player of Yerevan-based Alashkert.
The footballer transferred to the Armenian club from Israeli side Hapoel Be'er Sheva, where he made only one appearance in six months. Prior to that, Sabobo spent two seasons with FC Zürich, making 12 appearances and scoring one goal.
At the international level, Banda has already cemented his place in the Zambian national team, having played 14 matches, scored one goal, and provided one assist. In January, he took part in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco.
Today, Sabobo made his debut for Alashkert in a friendly match against North Macedonian club Vardar, which ended in a confident 3–0 win for the Armenian side.
