Yerevan’s Noah secured a confident 2–0 away victory over Shirak in the match of the 18th round of the Armenian Premier League.
The scoring was opened by Romanian winger Valentin Costache. After a corner kick delivered by Gor Manvelyan, he struck accurately and scored his first goal in the Armenian championship. Earlier, Costache had already scored in Armenian Cup matches.
In the second half, Noah doubled their advantage. This time Costache acted as the provider, with his pass converted by Nermin Zolotić to set the final score of the match.
Towards the end of the game, the visitors could have made the result more emphatic. Hélder Ferreira sent the ball into the net, but after a VAR review the goal was disallowed for offside.
After this victory, the reigning champions collected 29 points and remain in fifth place in the standings. After the 18th round, Sandro Perković’s team only managed to reduce the gap to Alashkert, who lost to Pyunik, while the other teams in the leading group also secured victories.
In the next round, Noah will face Shirak again, but this time at home.
