Narek Vardanian Wins European Judo Cup in Riga

Representing Sweden, judoka Narek Vardanian (73 kg weight category) became the winner of the 2026 European Cup among seniors, held in Riga.

In the final bout, Vardanian confidently defeated Moldovan athlete Vlad Mitru and claimed the gold medal of the tournament.

It is worth noting that this is already the second significant success for the young athlete in a short period of time. Just two weeks earlier, the 18-year-old judoka also won the European Junior Cup held in Poland.
