Mkhitar Barseghyan defeated Tsiptauri at ACA 201

At the ACA 201 tournament held in Minsk, Armenian fighter Mkhitar Barseghyan (9-5) defeated Georgian athlete Vazha Tsiptauri (14-8-1). The bout ended in a split decision: 29-28, 29-28, 28-29.

For the 28-year-old Barseghyan, this victory marked his fourth win in the ACA league. Moreover, he managed to bounce back from his previous loss, delivering a confident and mature performance.

The representative of the “Lion Heart” club, who is also one of the team’s coaches, showed character and resilience throughout the fight. In one episode, he escaped a dangerous chokehold attempt by his opponent, after which he gradually built up his advantage, controlling the course of the bout.

It is worth noting that this is Tsiptauri’s second consecutive defeat: previously, he lost to another Armenian fighter, Hayk Ghazaryan, also by decision.
