In the 19th round of the Armenian Premier League, fans witnessed a tense clash between Van and Ararat-Armenia. The match, held in Charentsavan, ended in a hard-fought 2–2 draw, delivering a true football thriller.

The scoring was opened by Van’s newcomer Petros Avetisyan, who managed to score against his former team. In the first half, he confidently converted a penalty to put the hosts ahead.

After the break, the visitors took control. Ararat-Armenia’s pressure paid off in the 63rd minute: just a few minutes after coming on, Zhirayr Shaghoyan sharpened the attack, and his pass led to an own goal by Ibrahim Daniel.

The ending of the match was truly dramatic. In stoppage time, the visitors earned a penalty, which Alioune Ndour converted, seemingly securing victory for his team. However, Van did not give up: in the final, fourth added minute, Benik Hovhannisyan delivered a precise assist, and 20-year-old Aris Karapetyan restored parity — 2–2.

Thus, Manuel Tulip’s team once again failed to win in Charentsavan this season. Ararat-Armenia remains at the top of the table with 38 points, but Pyunik (36 points) has two games in hand. Van, with 22 points, sits in sixth place.
