Krasnodar thrashed Zenit, Spertsyan provided an assist (VIDEO)

On February 6, Russian Premier League leaders Krasnodar played a friendly match against Zenit in Abu Dhabi. The game was part of the Winline RPL Winter Cup and ended with a convincing 3–0 victory for the Bulls.

Moses opened the scoring, while after the break young Krasnodar academy graduates Artyom Khmarin and Eldar Guseynov found the net, putting the result beyond doubt.

Team captain Eduard Spertsyan spent 63 minutes on the pitch and registered an assist. It was after his pass that Khmarin scored Krasnodar’s second goal.

For Krasnodar, this match was an important step in preparation for the second half of the season, and the confident win over a principal rival boosted the team’s morale ahead of the return of official matches.

The RPL will resume on February 28. Krasnodar will face Rostov in Round 19.
