All Champions League playoff matches have concluded, determining the final participants of the tournament’s Round of 16. Atalanta, Real Madrid, PSG, and Galatasaray advanced to the next stage. Borussia Dortmund, Juventus, Benfica, and Monaco were eliminated from the competition.
The draw for the Round of 16, as well as for the quarterfinals and semifinals, will take place on Friday, February 27, at 12:00 CET at the House of European Football in Nyon, Switzerland. The live broadcast will be available on UEFA’s official platforms — UEFA.com, UEFA.tv, and the Champions League app.

Drama in Turin: Galatasaray Knock Out Juventus
The most intense clash took place in Turin, where Juventus lost to Galatasaray 3–2. The Italians produced an impressive comeback with goals from Locatelli (37, penalty), Gatti (70), and McKennie (82). However, after Kelly was sent off in the 48th minute, Juventus could not hold on despite their advantage.
In extra time, Victor Osimhen (105+1) and Barış Alper Yılmaz (119) secured Galatasaray’s place in the Round of 16. Juventus exit the tournament with pride, but football proved ruthless for the Turin side that evening.
PSG Edge Past Monaco in Tight Battle
PSG drew 2–2 with Monaco, which proved enough to progress. Goals from Akliouche (45) and Teze (90+1) were answered by Marquinhos (60) and Kvaratskhelia (66).
The turning point came with Koulibaly’s red card in the 58th minute. After that, Luis Enrique’s side took control and secured the required result.
Real Madrid See Off Benfica Confidently
Real Madrid defeated Benfica 2–1 (3–1 on aggregate). Goals from Aurélien Tchouaméni (16) and Vinícius Júnior (80) ensured Los Blancos’ progression. Rafa Silva (14) scored for the Portuguese side and also struck the crossbar at 1–1.
Álvaro Arbeloa’s team showed tactical maturity and confidently secured victory over two legs.
Atalanta Deliver Thriller Against Borussia
In Bergamo, Atalanta defeated Borussia Dortmund 4–1 (4–3 on aggregate). The Italians started strongly with goals from Scamacca (5), Zappacosta (45), and Pašalić (57). Dortmund responded with a brilliant goal from Adeyemi (75), and it seemed extra time was inevitable.
The decisive moment came in stoppage time: after red cards for Schlotterbeck and Bensebaini, the hosts were awarded a penalty, which Samardžić converted in the 90+8 minute.
Thus, the full lineup for the 2025/26 Champions League Round of 16 is set. Eight top teams from the league phase will be seeded in the draw and joined by the eight playoff winners.
The Round of 16 matches will take place on March 10/11 and 17/18, 2026; the quarterfinals on April 7/8 and 14/15; the semifinals on April 28/29 and May 5/6. The final will be held on May 30, 2026, in Budapest.
