From 27 February to 5 March 2026, the 2026 European Championship in 10-meter air shooting (rifle, pistol, and running target) was held in Yerevan.

A total of 354 athletes from 40 countries competed for medals in individual, team, and mixed events.

The competitions were held both under the program of the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) and within additional disciplines of the ESC Challenge (Solo and Trio).

Overall Medal Table (Seniors)

  • Norway — 5 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze

  • Hungary — 5 gold

  • Ukraine — 4 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze

  • Armenia — 2 gold, 6 silver, 1 bronze

  • Turkey — 2 gold, 3 silver, 2 bronze

  • Russia (AIN) — 2 gold, 1 bronze

  • Italy — 2 gold

  • Germany — 1 gold, 6 silver, 3 bronze

  • Sweden — 1 gold, 4 silver, 2 bronze

  • Poland — 1 gold, 1 silver

  • Finland — 1 gold, 4 bronze

  • Croatia — 1 gold, 1 bronze


Results of the Armenian National Team

The Armenian senior team won 9 medals at the home championship — 2 gold, 6 silver, and 1 bronze, finishing 4th in the overall medal standings.

Including the juniors, Armenia won 13 medals, but the official medal table counted only senior events.
In total medals among seniors, Armenia was second only to Germany (10 medals).

Armenian athletes achieved their greatest success in running target events.

  • Lilit Mkrtchyan — 10 m running target (women)

  • Hovhannes Margaryan, Hayk Minasyan, Gor Khachatryan — 10 m running target, team event (mixed discipline among men)

Silver Medals

  • Gohar Harutyunyan — 10 m running target (women)

  • Hayk Minasyan / Lilit Mkrtchyan — 10 m running target, mixed team

Several records were set during the European Championship in Yerevan.

  • World record in the 10 m air rifle mixed team final was set by Norwegian athletes Jeanette Hegg Duestad and Jon-Hermann Hegg506.7 points.

  • Norwegian shooter Pernille Nor-Woll also set a European record in the women’s 10 m air rifle final253.7 points.
