On February 14, the 2026 Armenian Boxing Championship among elite men and women concluded at the Dynamo Sports Complex in Yerevan. The tournament served as a selection stage for the Armenian national team ahead of upcoming international competitions under the auspices of World Boxing.

For the first time, the national championship was held under the new weight categories approved by World Boxing, which will also be used at the 2028 Olympic Games.

Many leaders of the national team confirmed their status with confident victories. The champions were: Zhirayr Sargsyan (55 kg), Artur Bazeyan (60 kg), Narek Manasyan (90 kg), and Davit Chaloyan (+90 kg).

Particularly intense competition unfolded in the 65 kg and 70 kg divisions, where young and ambitious boxers met in the finals. In both cases, the winners were decided by split decision: Argishti Hakobyan (65 kg) and Harutyun Hakobkokhyan (70 kg).
