In Serie A’s 23rd round, Milan’s Inter defeated Cremonese away with a 2–0 scoreline. The victory for the Nerazzurri came thanks to goals from Lautaro Martínez and Piotr Zieliński, both scored in the first half.
Following an intense week in the Champions League, Cristian Chivu’s team appeared composed and efficiently completed the task, not allowing their opponent any chance to get back into the match.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan came on in the 60th minute, replacing Davide Frattesi. The 37-year-old Armenian midfielder managed to deliver a key pass to Federico Dimarco, who, however, failed to convert the opportunity. SofaScore rated the Armenian veteran’s performance at 6.9.
With this win, Inter strengthened its lead in the league, extending the gap to second place to 8 points. However, Milan could reduce the gap if they win their game in hand against a dangerous Bologna side.
