In the opening round of MLS Next Pro, Orlando City B suffered a 1–3 defeat to Huntsville.

The main highlight of the match was the debut of 21-year-old Armenian attacking midfielder Harvey Sarajian. Selected fifth overall in the MLS Draft, the player made his first official appearance for his new team. Sarajian operated as a left winger and marked his debut with a goal — scoring Orlando City B’s only goal of the game.

Despite the Armenian footballer’s efforts, Orlando was unable to challenge their opponent and began the season with a loss.

In another opening-round match of MLS Next Pro, New England Revolution II drew 1–1 with Atlanta United 2. In the post-match penalty shootout, Revolution players prevailed 4–2.

Armenian goalkeeper Donovan Parisian was at the center of attention. During regular time, he scored an own goal. However, in the penalty shootout, the goalkeeper fully redeemed himself by saving two spot-kicks and securing an additional point for his team.

It is worth noting that in the opening MLS rounds, Parisian was also included in the first team squad of New England Revolution, continuing to compete for a place in the club’s main roster.
